Special note for this meeting: Since it was the 'foundation' meeting, it was not yet that well organized with a chair and a secretary and all, so please forgive us the ill-manner of the Minutes and Action Points. Thank you.

We think of it as a combination of opensource existing utilities such as wiki's and a phpBB-forum, which gives rise to only one problem: how to combine login-information for the users on these things.
A moderator or a small group of moderators will be around to check if everything is going okay and, as good security students should do, perform regular updates on the open source utilities.
It might be the case that there is already some sort of content management system which allows for the combining of such opensource elements. Joeri told that he might be interested in combining the modules of the website into one but if anyone else knows about an easy way of doing is please let us know.
Much of the 'society'-part will in the beginning be on the fora. We could think of a sub-forum with topics on course-related issues, another one for stage/jobs, one for social activities etc. It would be great if all current kerckhoffs-students are automatically given a login/random password for the forum so they can start using the website right away.
The same login/password combination should allow the users to browse, edit and extend a wiki on the kerckhoffs master. On this wiki one could place information on the different courses, how to subscribe to universities, how travelling in the netherlands work, maps, etc. etc.
Though there is already one mailing list existing for kerckhoffs-students, there are only 14 members on that list and it might be simpler to have it all combined in the same society such that all users of the forum/wiki etc are automatically on the mailinglist. This list can be used to inform others about activities, symposia, cancelled lectures etc. A policy on usage of this list might be needed in the future.
A possible extra module for the website is an agenda on which upcoming events can be displayed.
Erik Poll was planning to organize a trip to FoxIT which could then be organized under the name of our association. He also thought that the CS department is probably willing to pay for example the drinks at a reception ('borrel') we might organize.
He will also find out for us where the kerckhoffs-institute.org website is currently hosted and if possible give us an account such that we may create a website under http://our-association-name.kerckhoffs-institute.org or http://www.kerckhoffs-institute.org/our-association-name (or both).
We will have to think up a name for our association. We could do this via a contest on the forum once it's there.
Nothing to report.
