| As the Kerckhoffs Institute program is a rather unique master program, we should consider ourselves a rather unique group of students. Since we all share the same interests, it is highly likely we also want to do the same things, need the same kind of information and like to hang out with each other. Unfortunately we are spread out over three different cities, which complicates these things a little. You know about Auguste, a platform to handle exactly that: information communication, study-related and social activities for Kerckhoffs' students. In the past few years we have organized several successful events, such as visits to Fox-IT, KPMG, TNO and Madison Gurkha, and smaller groups have gone to events such as Hacking at Random, eth0 and the Chaos Communication Congres.
The Auguste community is not like the study societies you know from your bachelor life, in the sense that it does not have a strict organization with boards and commissions. Every Kerckhoffs' student can use Auguste as a platform to organize an event, be it study-related or social. Not only via this wikiwebsite but also via the mailing list, IRC channel, Facebook et cetera. We do however have a small group of people that is extra-enthusiastic about Auguste that moderates the website and Google (groups / mailinglist) account, which we do call the board - but admins would be a better-suited name. The old generation of admins is leaving the Kerkchoffs program however, so we need fresh people to take over! If you feel called for, don't hesitate and contact us via auguste.community@gmail.com |
